Back in July I and a few others discussed a problem with the mouse and/or
keyboard not responding sometimes. I am still getting this; most often
when I switch the KVM from my PC to my ARMX6, but occasionally while I'm
using the ARMX6.
One suggested solution was to trigger USBkick from another machine on the
network; but that would require switching the KVM to the other machine,
and I usually find that switching back and forth once or twice without
doing anything else is sufficient to wake my ARMX6 up to seeing the mouse.
This morning the plot thickened, with a strange occurrence that perhaps
will shed some light (for someone) on what is happening.
On boot up my ARMX6 runs my own applet, which has grown over the years and
sets up various things for me, including asking me a series of Y/N
questions.
This morning the keyboard presses were accepted, but after my applet
exited the computer refused to respond to the mouse, even after I switched
the KVM to and fro between it and the PC a few times.
Then I plugged in another mouse directly to a USB port on the front.
Immediately the computer started responding, BUT to the mouse connected
via the KVM and NOT to the one that I had just connected directly.
