Calibration process target (for dispcal -g) is a display curve that match specified ideal zero-black curve at 50% input. When -G option is selected, dispcal calibrate display curve to the specified value despite the fact that ideal curve starts from absolute zero. This is probably I understood. But I can't connect this with output offset of the target curve. Why it needed, if -g still calibrate to 50% input of ideal (not offsetted) curve and -G build power curve, that started from display non-ideal black level? Thanks for answering
