Look at it this way,
Melco doesn't charge extra for the buzzing sound.  And it is uniquely only on 
Melco machines.  Even the machines made before the Amaya.
So consider yourself lucky.
Enjoy the buzzing.  Embrace the buzzing!  Hummm along with the buzzing!!  Use 
the force, Luke!!!
(Oh wait, that's for something else.)

And if you just can't stand the buzzing anymore,...
Just put your machine into sleep mode.  Then wake it up when you are ready to 
sew.

Thought for the day: "What if they would have called it Bumble Bee instead of 
Amaya?"
I guess today's machine would be called the "Bumble Bee XT".  Kinda' rolls off 
the tongue.
