If, for any reason, you push in the red button to put it to sleep and then 
release it before the 5 seconds is up, it will not go to sleep. You must then 
hit the green button and then go back to the red and hit it for 5 seconds.  The 
same is true in the reverse.  Don't touch either button and let go before the 5 
seconds is up.
