Sounds like it might be your thread feed drive gear. Check my earlier posts on 
how to replace but under warranty your tech will do it for free. If the hoop 
arms hit the needle case you may have a loose needle case. Not all techs think 
to check.  If you gently grab hold of either side of the needle case does it 
"Rock" up and down? NOT SIDE TO SIDE.  If so, tech needs to remove needle case 
and bend back the 4x4 Bar. I've had to do this dozens of times.  Only once did 
it not work because it was bent outward. Had to replace the 4x4. PS. Replaceing 
the 4x4 is NOT permitted to be done by Techs in the Field ON MACHINES STILL 
UNDER WARRANTY.  I've done 6 outside of warranty.
