What Operating system are you using??
how old is your computer.
The monitor seems like an unlikely solution.
and adobe should have no impact on the Design Shop ability to save JPGs as it
is not the program that processes this information for windows or Design shop.
If your running a computer that is less then 10 years old then you may want to
try and remove DS and reinstall it, something may have gotten crupted.
