Tumble Weed,
You don't want to turn you machine off in the middle of a design until you are
certain that the Force Download feature is turned off. (In Amaya OS software:
Click on Tools, Options, Ethernet)

Otherwise it will take you longer to figure out where you left off in the
design. Once you learn this manual process, it's not that difficult but as I
said, until you learn the manual way of getting back to where you left off in a
design, it's best to try everything possible before killing power to the
machine.

How much time elapsed between when you went to start the applique trimming and
when you hit the start button??

Is it possible that your computer's hard drive went into it's "sleep mode"
waiting on the machine to resume sewing?? I always make sure my customer's
computers that run their Amayas are set to never go into sleep mode when using
main power - not the battery.

If this is the case, then the machine looses communications with the PC and
this can cause all sorts of problems which will require a reboot.

Ed
