Where do you have your presser foot set? Are you using Sharp point needles? What size needle are you using? Are the caps structured or unstructured? How dense is the design over the center seam? I will assume you are getting this message while sewing over the center seam. This may be a sign that the Z axis motor is getting weak. Sometimes when the presser foot is set too low and is hammering hard on the cap center seam, it can cause the machine to detach from the computer. If the Z axis motor is in fact weak, this can happen quite often if the needle is worn or bent or dull, design is too dense, center seam is thick, presser foot is low and hammering, cap is hooped loosely or any combination of the items listed.... Start by putting in a new Sharp point needle(s), and checking your presser foot height...raise it one click from where you are and see if it helps.
