Subject: [access-uk] talking central heating thermostat

Hi all

I think this has been covered on here before, so apologies for repetition.

I had a quick look on Google, but didn't find anything. Is there such a
thing around?

We just had a new combi boiler installed, with a fancy new digital
thermostat control. My partner hates manuals, and I can't operate the
thermostat on my own.

Any help appreciated.

Also, I'm sure a lot of you may already be aware, but for those who are not.
We had the boiler fitted free of charge, which would have cost just under
£2500 if we would have had to of paid for it.

We applied to the warm front grant scheme, and the rest was easy.

The main eligibility for the grant is, certain benefits, e.g. dla, etc, and
you either own the property, or rent it privately. They will also carry out
insulation work.

Its worth knowing about, as we were about to spend £2500 of our own money.
It doesn't matter if you are working, as its not income related.

Best wishes.

Terry
