Yes, it is, unfortunately. Wireless will drain the battery more than
using an ethernet cable. The reason being that the laptop has to use the
power that's in the battery to not only power the laptop itself but also
to external/internal devices. For example, if you plugged a wireless
card in, the laptop would have to power the wireless card in order for
you to use it. So that's why the battery power will run down quicker
using wireless. Hope that helps.
