The packages are as I understand it just product feature bundles, the basic functionality depending on what you are paying for should be the same. The reason BT bought plus.net is because they (plus.net) are leading the field in personal account management tools, with most other providers you have to phone them to instigate changes to settings, with plus.net you can do most of this online for yourself for example instigate line tests, set secturity levels for the web based firewall, configure the spam filter change account features such as add traffic bundles up and down grade your account, purchase or disable telephone features etc. All of which of course means less of a need for telephone support in theory at least. So while they do have a good range of features they might not be the best choice if you want good phone support rather than having to do everything yourself via the website. Personally I've always found them very helpful and talking me through making changes at an appropriate pace if I have explained that I am struggling with the Website because I am blind but that is of course dependant on first getting through to some one in the first place. I used plus.net to send an exe file to another account and it worked though they do have a bewildering array of products to choose from and they do in my opinion make it over complicated. Broadband your way is only one product butit has various options within it so I think it is more of a marketing exercise than anything. I have another plusnet question which is certainly on topic but will send it as a separate message. In fact, my very nice and careful provider not only blocks Windows executables, it blocks every kind of executable you can think of. Probably it would be best to actually ask Plusnet what they do. But sending exe files as attachments (including zipped, or otherwise disguised) is probably not the best idea, especially when there are free services like YouSendIt.
