Yeah. For those not in the know, it's not possible to have the
magnification and the screenreader going on the iPhone at the same time
(that's Zoom and Voiceover).

I've always assumed that this is a technology conflict issue in the same
way that it always used to be difficult to load your PC with more than
one screenreader or because of the screen capture technology conflicts.

Clearly that'd be an improvement.

Is there an iPhone list or blog where we can speak to the developers? Or
one that they read?

Sunil: the trebble tap on the home button, is this a deafult thing? Or
is it something you need to set up?

Anyone?

Hi,

That's what we found as well. Ideally, all blind related motions would
be disabled when the voiceover is turned off. Then, one unique gesture
to turn the whole thing back up. Yes, by all means have the half way
house for when you just want to mute the speech for a moment, but doing
the above would make the Vi/non-VI cross experience more pleasurable. I
think that's one area where Talks did get it right.

Oh, another thing, we can't find a way to have both Voiceover and
magnification working at the same time. This seems to go for the iPad
as well, even after calling Apple technical support with iPad in hand it
doesn't seem possible.

I think blindie gestures still apply if you turn Voiceover off with the
double tap of three fingers. Am I wrong?

Ah, OK. I didn't realise that. I thought when you killed voiceover it
didn't actually close the app completely. But I'll know for myself
tomorrow if my iPhone arrives.

no you can tripple tap the home button and then turn on voiceover that
way so you can tripple click to turn it off completely and then reverse
it
