Hi Brian

While none of the detectors I have ever found and used are perfect, the
Colorino is, personally, one of the best devices on the market. Here are a
couple of tips:

1. If possible, lie the garment you want to identify somewhere flat rather
than wearing it, then try to see what colour it is.

2. Hold the device so that the identifier is down and firmly over the
garment so that it does not let in any light when you press the button to
see what colour you have.

Similar colours can be a bit hit or miss, for instance, white and cream, or
black and navy, or sometimes various browns. But it definitely will
differentiate between light blue and navy, for example, black and white,
light pink and rose pink, light and dark purple shades, etc.

I hope this is of some help.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

Hi
have purchased the colorino colour detector this week and ha ve found it
very disappointing. It doesn't seem to be able to tell the difference
between brown and black pus other colours. What have others found? I believe
there may be a colour detector for the ipod touch, have others found an
alternative to the colorino. A very expensive product considering what it
can't do.
