hi there you just have to practise loads to get it better just one finger on
the screen puts a dot in but generally i am finding i am getting better and
better with touch braille thing is for years and years we all have been used to
the normal keyboards you do have to calibrate though sometimes especially when
you're looking at the braille you have typed. when my keyboard would not work
it then said braille manager not loaded i wish there was a command to load it
rather than doing a re-set. i should get my new keyboard today but, because of
it i have used touch braille and am much better with it.

I'd be interested in knowing how people find the Braille input on the touch
screen? How frequently do you have to recalibrate by placing your fingers?
How often do you get the long vibration indicating that Braille is not going
in? Do you sometimes find Braille commands being mis-interpreted as dots?
Any thoughts?

I am still evaluating mine, but I really do have some doubts to be honest.
I have heard people having SD cards replaced, the Apex keyboard not
working, and general instability and battery issues. I don't think some of
this is purely software-related, so it really is concerning. My battery
was at 90 percent last night when I turned in at about 10 pm, and it was
dead to the world this morning when I looked at it at around 6.40. That's
ridiculous to be honest!
There are a lot of positives, but I am leaning towards leaving it for a
while to see how it progresses. I appreciate it is a new unit and at the
start of its journey, but that doesn't account for some of the problems it
seems to be having, and these are only the ones we know about.
Just my thoughts, I do want to keep it, and I also want it to work, but I
have reservations at this moment in time.

0was You'll find me there, with others.

0was It worked for me and I eventually heard from the moderator. I can let
0was you have his details if you don't hear for a while.
0was
0was There's one slight difference to this list and that is that the Reply-To
0was field sends to us direct, so effectively the others don't see any reply.
0was This in turn means you're totally reliant on someone to answer your
0was message, or make a comment, but I realise it does keep the traffic down.
0was
0was John, how are you getting on now with your BN? Janet, did you get one in
0was the end?
0was
0was Mike and I deliberated for quite a while but took the plunge in the end
0was as it was time to decide and gain "999 for our older BrailleNote Apex,
0was or just lose that amount and maybe get one later ...
0was
0was It does show some promise but only time will tell if they'll really work
0was on a number of things that I would like to see sorted in one way or
another.
0was
0was Hope this might be helpful!
