if that is coming up, I haven't had any luck in actually finding it. Simon, It's my guess that you need to agree to use Media Player for reading capchas. This happened to me. When you make certain changes to your system, you may have to again accept Media Player as your default player for these things. Screenreaders will not automatically tell you this. However, if you go into screen navigation mode (known as JAWS mode in JAWS) and come down from the top of the screen you should find a line asking you if you agree to use Media Player for playing captchas. go to where it says something like "click here" or something similar and left mouse click with your num pad and see what happens next time you try to listen to a capcha. This is possible with JAWS but not if you are using NVDA. I don't know if you can achieve this with WE but imagine that you should be able to. John. Could you send the list an example or two of the sites/pages you are having difficulty with? what screen reader(s) are you using? I may be very mistaken but I am pretty certain you do not need Quicktime to play audio captures. I have never installed Quicktime on this and other machines and they have played fine. Are you getting any sound at all from media content on your web pages? I have gone through all of the settings I can find, in both IE and quicktime, and can't find anything that would prevent them from playing. any suggestions as to how I can sort this issue out please?
