Whatever about an access tech historian, I am amazed that Ibrahim is not snapped up by one of the companies for their I T support.

Hi Ibrahim: Have you ever thought of becoming an access tec historian? Heheheh -----Original Message-----From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf OfIbrahim Gucukoglu Sent: 11 July 2009 14:27 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Technology Now & Then for Vips Hi Martin. There was a keynote speech synthesiser which was entirely software based, it was one of the first ever text to speech synths that didn't need supporting hardware to run only a sound card. They did 16-bit and 32-bit versions forwindows 3.1X and windows 95 respectively, but for some reason discontinued it. The very first example of text to speech synths came with the sound blaster card, I think the AWE32 model. I'm pretty sure it was called Keystone but don't quote me on that *smile*. Anyway, back to the keynote gold synth, it used the then standard SSIL interface developed I think by arkenstone and which was an architecture that allowed for interoperability with screen access and other access products with a much wider variety ofsynths. All the synth manufacturer or developer would have to do is createan SSIL driver and Jaws, Lexis etc would instantly work with it. All the best, Ibrahim. ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq__________ Information from ESET Smart Security, version of virus signaturedatabase 4234 (20090711) __________ The message was checked by ESET Smart Security. http://www.eset.com ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
