yep space is interesting I filled mine up last night and couldonly
squeeze about 918 meg on to it. hardly a problem as it's a lot of hours
of audio but a little frustrating in that I had been careful to compile
just short of a full gig of material and then had to skim through the
files which had copied across so as to establish which had not.

does the creative software give the same capacity info as windows
explorer properties has anyone checked or is it more accurate.

Adrian, I think it also allows you to find out how much space is left.
But I agree with you, and since I fill mine till it's full anyway,
that's hardly an issue. Incidentally, I'd be interested to know whether
anyone actually does get five hundred tracks on there.

Carol - as a matter of interest what have you needed to use the
creative
software for? So far I haven't bothered to install it as get
along just
fine with windows explorer and audible manager to load the
stone.

        Battery meter?
        Any other advantages?

        Amanda,

I have found this isn't an issue if you're using Windows
Explorer but,
when using the Creative software, it's been a bit picky. I've
found I
need to open Creative, then plug in the Zen Stone.

If you're just using Windows Explorer, you should probably get a
dialogue up, after plugging in the Zen Stone, to indicate a
drive and
ask whether you want to play files etc. . . ..

        Hope this helps a bit.
