As a solicitor, I wouldn't advise using a stamp for important docs. This is
because,
1. The risk of misuse by a third party is greater; and
2. even if banks and so on are prepared to accept use of a stamp, they
usually require you to give an indemnity - which would make you responsible
even if the stamp were used by a third party without your consent.
I think it's slightly different at work, where I used a stamp for signing
quite a lot of stuff, but I knew that I was not likely to incur any
liability by doing so.

Hi Richard.
Why not? My wife uses hers all the time for doing important banking forms,
even for signing work related paperwork. Its your signature after all, the
stamp is custom made and can easily be refilled with ink.
