Hi, I'm sorry to say things really show no sign of improving. Yahoo's
capture provider do audio captures, but Yahoo refuse to do anything
sensible
at all. Google do a great audio capture, don't use it as often, and do
help
you iff you can't hear it too. Things are only really fine if people can
subscribe and unsub by email and that's all they want to do. I'm lucky
enough to have got my id when I could so I can access more, but without
one
you are stuffed. With Google, even setting up an account is straight
forward. In fact, I prefer Freelists to Yahoogroups as well, wish they
weren't just technology lists lol!

Yahoo and I am not sure that they would want to change to Google. Once

are in there is no further problem. Nevertheless might take a look at the
possibilities if things do not improve, which at the moment seems rather
unlikely.

I want to subscribe to a couple of Yahoo groups, but the e-mails that I
sent have got no response. So I logged on to the Yahoo groups website,
found a link to one of the groups I am interested in and clicked on the

Signing up for a Yahoo ID involves the dreaded captcha, but there is an
alternative for blind/VI users, which is to send a Help message to

Has any of you without a Yahoo ID successfully subscribed to a Yahoo
group
by sending an e-mail request during the last six months? If yes, then I
suspect that the problem is caused by my ISP Virgin Media, (formerly
NTL).
If I have to set up a Yahoo ID, is there an alternative to phoning the
States?
I am already a member of two Yahoo groups and can send and receive
e-mails
to and from them. However, I cannot change settings by e-mail, such as
going nomail. This started happening about six months ago. Has anyone
else experienced this?
