Hello Kevin,I haven't tried OpenOffice since before I got the JAB working and I only use Libro-office on Vinux.
Don't need to mess with OpenOffice at the moment as I have a shed-load of stuff to do. But I will certainly return to it at some point.
I think currently NVDA recommend IBM Lotus Symphony as the office suite of choice, but I'm sure that will change. NVDA seems to work quite well for me using MS Office 2000 Premium.

Have you managed to get open office or libro office working with nvda? and if so could you e-mail me off list please thanks. On 04/11/2012 16:41, Michael Ray wrote:Hello Alfred. I have the JAB working with NVDA. I haven't used it with Supernova. With NVDA it makes both Java apps and applets in web pages accessible. There are some issues with early Java apps but the Java 'swing' components have accessibility built in and work very well. I will try with Supernova and see what transpires. I think my Supernova may be version 11.something so it's not the latest. I'm deep into NVDA scripting at the moment but will try this later today if I get a chance. When I have some results maybe we can talk some more, maybe on the phone. Do you get it working with NVDIA? Have you tried it on your Supernova? Would you be prepared to discuss it with me over the phone? -----Original message----- From: Michael Ray Sent: 04/11/2012, 3:48 pm To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Lookingt for Direct Link to Java Access Bridge Hello Alfred. I can appreciate it's a bit daunting if you aren't technically minded. I have Supernova but it's not the most up-to-date version and I have stopped using it in favour of NVDA, and for exactly a reason implied in your reply. If the tech-support team aren't able to tell you if installing the JAB will make Supernova 13 work with Java then there is something seriously wrong somewhere. I do not have thetechnical knowledge to cope with it and would need someone to assist me.The other thing is I am running Supernova 13.0 and do not even know and Dolphin Tech Support do not know if this will work for me!!!!!!! I was just going to be prepared to give it a go. I do appreciate all your help but would not know where to begin re installation and not even sure about all the downloads either. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michael Ray" <mike.ray@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, November 04, 2012 1:29 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Lookingt for Direct Link to Java Access BridgeHello again Alfred. Here are some links: Here is the link to the download page for the JDK. If you are running 32 bit Windows you need the download from row 17 of the big table (i586). If you are running 64 bit Windows you need the download from row 18 (x64): http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk7u9-downloads-1859576.html Here is the link to the Java Access Bridge: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/tech/index-jsp-136191.html Here is a link to a page detailing how to install the JAB. Note again that it is not an installer, but involves copying some files into the correct directories (folders) on your hard drive: http://docs.oracle.com/javase/accessbridge/2.0.2/setup.htm#installing-jab-32-bit hth Mike Ray ----- Original Message ----- From: "Alfred King" <alfredking10@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, November 04, 2012 12:36 PM Subject: [access-uk] Lookingt for Direct Link to Java Access BridgeI tried to Google this but I really am not sure of the exact download link on Google.
