Thanks Mike. If it does not work with Supernova then I would be happy to try and get it working with NVDIA though I like having my magnification as I have it very high. Are you in the UK? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michael Ray" <mike.ray@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hello Alfred.

I have the JAB working with NVDA. I haven't used it with Supernova.

With NVDA it makes both Java apps and applets in web pages accessible. There are some issues with early Java apps but the Java 'swing' components have accessibility built in and work very well.

I will try with Supernova and see what transpires. I think my Supernova may be version 11.something so it's not the latest.

I'm deep into NVDA scripting at the moment but will try this later today if I get a chance.

When I have some results maybe we can talk some more, maybe on the phone.

Mike

Thanks Michael. Do you get it working with NVDIA? Have you tried it on your Supernova? Would you be prepared to discuss it with me over the phone?

Hello Alfred.

I can appreciate it's a bit daunting if you aren't technically minded.

I have Supernova but it's not the most up-to-date version and I have stopped using it in favour of NVDA, and for exactly a reason implied in your reply. If the tech-support team aren't able to tell you if installing the JAB will
make Supernova 13 work with Java then there is something seriously wrong
somewhere.

Thanks Michael, this all loks very complicated too me. I do not have the technical knowledge to cope with it and would need someone to assist me.
The other thing is I am running Supernova 13.0 and do not even know and
Dolphin Tech Support do not know if this will work for me!!!!!!! I was
just going to be prepared to give it a go. I do appreciate all your help but would not know where to begin re installation and not even sure about
all the downloads either.

Hello again Alfred.

Here are some links:

Here is the link to the download page for the JDK. If you are running 32
bit Windows you need the download from row 17 of the big table (i586).
If you are running 64 bit Windows you need the download from row 18
(x64):
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk7u9-downloads-1859576.html

Here is the link to the Java Access Bridge:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/tech/index-jsp-136191.html

Here is a link to a page detailing how to install the JAB. Note again
that it is not an installer, but involves copying some files into the
correct directories (folders) on your hard drive:
http://docs.oracle.com/javase/accessbridge/2.0.2/setup.htm#installing-jab-32-bit

I tried to Google this but I really am not sure of the exact download
link on Google. Does anyone have a direct link please or maybe even the programme that they might be prepared to permit me to download from their
dropbox?
