I’ll be writing to them to ask for it, no worries on that one.

Afterall, we want the Victor Stream to be the best it can.

Hi Kulvinder,
Perhaps they might consider it, if enough of us asked for it, worth a try.

Regards.
Jim.

just a thought, why don’t Humanware include the WMA codec in an update and then
we will be able to play such streams.

Hi Guys,
I spoke with Humanware today, about why some stations that are already on
the ootunes database, are not accessible on the Victor Reader Stream. The
answer I was given was, some radio streams are done in wma format, and the
VRS cannot play these, it will only play streams in mp3, or aac formats. If
you are after a particular station, that does not appear in the ootunes
database, if you google to find out the type of media stream that it is
broadcasting in, you will be able to determine if the VRS will even be able
to receive it, before you ask for it to be added to the database..
Hope this clarifies things a little.

Regards.
Jim.

I was able to find BBC radio Scotland on the ootunes website and on the
ootunes app on my iphone but not on ootunes on the stream. I have also been
unable to find some local radio stations.

There is an option to import stations from an ootunes file but I haven't
worked out how to do this yet.

Paul

Hi David

I think we might have to contact OoTunes and ask for the stations to be
added. They are not there at the moment.

I am going to try contacting them later today.
