Hi Ari.

#This is interesting.

I installed JAWS 8 on a client's machine after he received his upgrade from
version 5 to version 8. when he starts up the machine all works well but
after a while, combo boxes seem to stop announcing their contents
automatically though you can read them with jaws key f8. also control c does
not announce that text has been coppied to clipboard and control v is also
silent. This happens on various programs including Microsoft Word and
speaking of lists and options is even affected in the JAWS verbosity
options. He does not get this problem when using JAWS version 5.

Has anyone else had this problem? is it in fact an internet explorer issue?

Regards

graham

Hi Mandy,
For me, JFW 7 did that with IE 7. You type stuff in, for some strange reason
sometimes the caricters don't appear, combo box items are not spoken when
moving up or down, and forms are not read. Upgrade to JFW 8, or downgrade to
IE 6. Don't know how, I upgraded prety fast!
