Hi Richard/Sarah
Low power mode will increase the battery performance That will significantly
decrease background activity on your phone such as location requests, push
email access, screen brightness and others. You can use low power mode as a
temporary solution but it’s not a long-term option

Same device, same issue, however, somehow, I seem to have been able to resolve
it.
Additionally to your settings, I turned off Bluetooth and then rebooted it.
Initially I was told “low consumption mode”, and today, for example, I am down
to 71% which is in the order of the hitherto normal.

Subject: [access-uk] Issues with iPhone battery
Hi All,
I have a 2 year old iPhone 7 which is in otherwise good condition however over
the past few weeks I’ve been having real issues with it running out of battery
before the end of the day. I’ve been into settings and and turned off things
like Google Maps using location all the time and think I’ve deactivated apps
refreshing in the background but still it doesn’t seem to have helped. In a
normal day I use my phone to send a few texts, short phone calls, check FB and
twitter on my lunch break and read the Guardian so not what I’d call excessive
use. I’ve also checked the battery health status in settings and it says it’s
at 80% health.
Is there anything else people can think of that might be causing the battery to
drain so much?
Have others had similar issues since updating to the latest version of IOS 13?
With thanks as always,
Sarah
