Hi Sarah. I had my battery changed, a couple of weeks ago.
It was also, down to 80 percent capacity.
My local apple store, run some diagnostics, and confirmed, that my battery
needed replacing.
Since the replacement, it has been absolutely fine.
You can also, give apple a ring, and they will run some tests, while you are on
the phone.
Dave.

Subject: [access-uk] Issues with iPhone battery
Hi All,
I have a 2 year old iPhone 7 which is in otherwise good condition however over
the past few weeks I’ve been having real issues with it running out of battery
before the end of the day. I’ve been into settings and and turned off things
like Google Maps using location all the time and think I’ve deactivated apps
refreshing in the background but still it doesn’t seem to have helped. In a
normal day I use my phone to send a few texts, short phone calls, check FB and
twitter on my lunch break and read the Guardian so not what I’d call excessive
use. I’ve also checked the battery health status in settings and it says it’s
at 80% health.
Is there anything else people can think of that might be causing the battery to
drain so much?
Have others had similar issues since updating to the latest version of IOS 13?
With thanks as always,
Sarah
