I heard something on a podcast earlier this week that mentioned that one of the
recent updates to IOS significantly drained the battery, but that a later
update was supposed to have fixed it. Do a google search and you’ll get lots
of results on how to fix it too.
Cheers

Richard,
It’s already set to switch on “low-power mode” once it gets to 20% of batter
left, I wasn’t sure what impact having this on more would have?
Many thanks,
Sarah

Sarah,
Does asking SIRI to “turn on low power mode” make any differenced?
All the best,

Hi Sarah
Go to the settings on your phone, scroll down to battery and then select
battery health from the battery menu. Check what the battery level is and
whether optimise iPhone charging is enabled. Come back to us with your
findings. Thank you.

Hi All,
I have a 2 year old iPhone 7 which is in otherwise good condition however over
the past few weeks I’ve been having real issues with it running out of battery
before the end of the day. I’ve been into settings and and turned off things
like Google Maps using location all the time and think I’ve deactivated apps
refreshing in the background but still it doesn’t seem to have helped. In a
normal day I use my phone to send a few texts, short phone calls, check FB and
twitter on my lunch break and read the Guardian so not what I’d call excessive
use. I’ve also checked the battery health status in settings and it says it’s
at 80% health.
Is there anything else people can think of that might be causing the battery to
drain so much?
Have others had similar issues since updating to the latest version of IOS 13?
With thanks as always,
Sarah
