[access-uk] Help Please! Jaws won't work on new computer with Vista

Hi, I'm just hoping somebody will be able to offer some advice. I've been using a lap top with XP on it for a long time, and I use Jaws. But that machine has basically had it, so we bought a new one with Vista. I understand that all machines now come with Vista as standard and a few people had told me it would work more or less ok with Jaws, so we put on the new machine, down loaded a Jaws demo to see how it was, but we've never managed to get it working properly. Now I doubt that this is to do with a clash with Vista as such, but it seems Jaws is clashing with some software on that machine, because although Jaws is set to come on automatically at start up, it never does. And usually, though not always, there is a message on the screen at start up which says "Toshiba flash card failed to initialise" (the lap top is Toshiba). What usually happens sometime while my partner's using the machine is that Jaws will suddenly decide to come on, for reasons best known to itself!

So here we are with this lap top which I just can't use!
I thought I'd ask here in case the error message meant anything to somebody here who knows about these things!
With best wishes
Gemma
