Hi Paul,
As I understand it, the noise lets you know if you are lined up with the
shoreline, kerb in this case. it could be very useful if done properly.
I can't comment further as I haven't seen it.

Absolutely. The sound of galloping coconuts as described. Not sure why
this continuous noise is thought to be necessary. Noises to warn you of
problems, yes, but not noises when everything is OK and nothing is
happening.
