Hi Mo,
Thank you for your reply.
I’ve found a file called “downward History, and am being prompted for a file type to open this.
I choose Notepad, and have pasted your lines at the bottom.
On using Get_iplayer and downloading a file, it is still not in MP3.
What am I doing wrong, please?
Any further help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Best wishes,
Keith

Hi Keith.
You would need to edit your options file. It's in the .get_iplayer folder in your user profile folder. My options file looks like the following.
fileprefix <name> - <episode>
commandradio ffmpeg -i "<filename>" -c:v copy -c:a libmp3lame -b:a 128k -id3v2_version 3 -write_id3v1 1 -y "<dir>/<fileprefix>.mp3" && del "<filename>"
nopurge 1
subdir 1
This tells get_iplayer to convert each file it downloads from M4a to MP3.
I hope that helps?
Cheers,
Mo.
