hanks Amro,

I've looked at the guidance you pointed us to and am now happily downloading,
converting download programmes to MP3 as it goes.

Cheers,
Clive

OK Clive as you wish I won't attempt humour *Smile*. Sorry I meant to say only
when you want to explore the get_iplayer window then you will need to use the
virtual cursor. To type though just focus on get_iplayer and start typing and
it'll go in the right place as it ware. It's a dos interface kind of thing so
you can only type/paste and hit enter to execute the command you have typed.
Once the application has executed the command it will then be ready for you to
type another command. I hope I'm making sense! The short answer is just start
typing when get_iplayer is in focus and you'll be alright

Cheers,
Amro

hanks Amro,

I think the guide will give me all I need to know, once I know exactly
whereabouts to key in my command through the JAWS virtual screen. That one
wasn't obvious on first glance at the guide. So, I know what to type, but I'm
not sure where to put it. (polite answers only please).

Best,
Clive

Yes it's accessible or very useable at the least. I and few others on this list
use it. Quick points:

A very good starting point for instructions is the get_iplayer guides at

http://squarepenguin.co.uk/guides/

Use your screen reader's virtual cursor to read the get_iplayer window.

There was a very good discussion on list about get_iplayer a couple of months
ago. You can search the list's archive for it. I'm sure you'll find it very
helpful.

Amro

Hi all,

Is anyone using this programme as their replacement for Radio Downloader, which
Auntie Beebie stomped on? If so, how accessible is it?

Thanks,
Clive
