No Paul that didn’t work either. Hmmmm very strange, looks like back to the drawing board. Thanks for your help Jim From: Paul Warner Sent: Tuesday, May 28, 2013 11:50 AM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: GWMicro question I think the first thing to do is to close the main Skype application and run GW Connect on its own. This should avoid any conflicts. If you only intend to make and receive voice calls, then you will not need to run the main Skype application anyway. Try that and let me know how you get on. Could it be that due to skype running as well this is causing a conflict? I have re-entered their skype details and sent an authorisation, but they are not seeing that authorisation in their skype program. Any other ideas why this is the case. Firstly, what you have installed is called GW Connect. That software is created by GW Micro. The software is indeed free. You do not have to activate it. When you run it the way it is, you will get an audio advert every half an hour or so urging you to buy the product. You don't have to buy it but if you do, the adverts will cease. As for your contacts being flagged as offline, you will need to check that you yourself are online. Go to the Status menu and select online. When you read the window title when in GW Connect, your online status will be announced at the end. Can anyone on the list please explain how to get gwmicro to work? My contacts show up but it’s saying they are all off line and i know this isn’t true. Any help appriciated.
