Hi Graham ,
Maxstor is an excellent brand. Be sure to also purchase a PCI card if you
are using slow USB ports. A fast Maxstor portable hard drive running into a
slow USB port can cause I/O input/Output device errors and can corrupt your
portable drive. I'm currently taking my brothers advice and putting all my
music onto DVD disks. One DVD disk can hold 4 gigs of music. Sure beets 6
shoeboxes full of the old fashioned CD's. Jeepers, never thought I'd hear
myself say that CD's were old fashioned.
