Hi If you get your c5 fixed, Amazon have some very reasonable protective leather cases for the c5, they only cost around £4, it may be worth investing in one of these to protect the handset. I keep mine on a lanyard and it is very safe. You can have your licence transferred to another phone if your handset has been irrepairably damaged. As you bought it all from RNIB, I can only assume they will organise for Talks to be enabled on another handset. You will need to provide them with your IMEI number, but if the phone has to be sent back to them, they ought to know this and do the rest for you. I don't know what their procedure is, so check it all out by giving them a call. I bought it from the RNIB, loaded with Talks. I am presuming that the talks Licence can be transferred? I am such an idiot. What amazes me is how quickly we become dependent on these gadgets, I am lost without it. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jackie Cairns" <jackie.cairnsplace@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, November 05, 2012 10:49 AM Subject: [access-uk] Re: C5 and TalksHi Niamh You will lose Talks if you reset your C5 to factorydefault. It sounds asthough you have damaged your handset in some way, especially if the screenis cracked. If you are on a contract, or if you took outinsurance on thehandset, you might speak to your provider about it. If,however, youbought the phone separate to your pay plan, it could cost quite abit to get itfixed. Sorry to be gloomy on a Monday morning!
