Hi

If you get your c5 fixed, Amazon have some very reasonable
protective leather cases for the c5, they only cost around
£4, it may be worth investing in one of these to protect the
handset. I keep mine on a lanyard and it is very safe.

Hi Niamh

No problem, just ask!

You can have your licence transferred to another phone if
your handset has
been irrepairably damaged. As you bought it all from RNIB,
I can only
assume they will organise for Talks to be enabled on another
handset. You
will need to provide them with your IMEI number, but if the
phone has to be
sent back to them, they ought to know this and do the rest
for you. I don't
know what their procedure is, so check it all out by giving
them a call.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

No your not gloomy at all, just helpful.
I bought it from the RNIB, loaded with Talks.
I am presuming that the talks Licence can be transferred?
I am such an idiot.
What amazes me is how quickly we become dependent on these
gadgets, I am
lost without it.

Hi Niamh

You will lose Talks if you reset your C5 to factory
default. It sounds as
though you have damaged your handset in some way,
especially if the screen
is cracked. If you are on a contract, or if you took out
insurance on the
handset, you might speak to your provider about it. If,
however, you
bought
the phone separate to your pay plan, it could cost quite a
bit to get it
fixed. Sorry to be gloomy on a Monday morning!

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

I have dropped my C5 three times now and have cracked it
and wrecked the
volume, not the talks volume but the call volume.
Even on speaker it is very low even with the volume
control maxed out.
Is it worth trying a reset?
if I do this will it kill talks?
advice please!!!
Niamh
