I think it will depend on what caused the phone to become faulty, accidental damage or manufacture fault.-----Original message----- From: Jackie Cairns Sent: 05/11/2012, 11:31 am To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: C5 and Talks Hi Niamh No problem, just ask! You can have your licence transferred to another phone if your handset has been irreparably damaged. As you bought it all from RNIB, I can only assume they will organise for Talks to be enabled on another handset. Youwill need to provide them with your IMEI number, but if the phone has to be sent back to them, they ought to know this and do the rest for you. I don'tknow what their procedure is, so check it all out by giving them a call. I bought it from the RNIB, loaded with Talks. I am presuming that the talks Licence can be transferred? I am such an idiot. What amazes me is how quickly we become dependent on these gadgets, I am lost without it. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jackie Cairns" <jackie.cairnsplace@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, November 05, 2012 10:49 AM Subject: [access-uk] Re: C5 and TalksHi NiamhYou will lose Talks if you reset your C5 to factory default. It sounds as though you have damaged your handset in some way, especially if the screen is cracked. If you are on a contract, or if you took out insurance on thehandset, you might speak to your provider about it. If, however, you bought the phone separate to your pay plan, it could cost quite a bit to get it fixed. Sorry to be gloomy on a Monday morning! Even on speaker it is very low even with the volume control maxed out. Is it worth trying a reset? if I do this will it kill talks? advice please!!!
