douglas someone else could just as easily have read your print pin before you received it. They would have to unseal it but they would need to do the same to listen to the CD in just the same way. If this is not secure, how else do you suggest that someone without the luxury of a wife or someone they can trust should gain access to a pin? regards Graham Graham Page Home Phone: 0207 265 9493 Mobile: 07753 607980 Fax: 0870 706 2773 Email: gpage@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx MSN: gabriel_mcbird@xxxxxxxxxxx Skype: gabriel_mcbird ----- Original Message ----- From: "Douglas Harrison" <harrison1d@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, August 02, 2007 11:09 AM Subject: [access-uk] Re: BANK PIN HELP WANTED Richard, As a result of the "demise" of the Woolwich I found myself a few months ago to be a Barclay customer. The pins I needed for on line or telephone banking were sent in the normal way and my wife had to read them to me. However to my surprise the pin for my Barclay debit card ccame not once, but twice, on a CD. None of the Barclays staff I spoke to seemed to be aware that this system was being used - from a security point of view I felt that it was questionable. Someone else could have listened to the CD before I received it.
