Richard, As a result of the "demise" of the Woolwich I found myself a few months ago to be a Barclay customer. The pins I needed for on line or telephone banking were sent in the normal way and my wife had to read them to me. However to my surprise the pin for my Barclay debit card ccame not once, but twice, on a CD. None of the Barclays staff I spoke to seemed to be aware that this system was being used - from a security point of view I felt that it was questionable. Someone else could have listened to the CD before I received it.
