When I switched to broadband (ADSL) in June my ISP provided as part of the package a basic one port router which enabled me to have an ethernet connection to either of my systems (but only one at a time, of course). As the router was pre-configured I have as yet little knowledge of setting up a router from scratch. I now need to purchase another router, both as an insurance against failure of the existing one, and also to give me more connectivity options. I would probably initially connect to both machines by ethernet but I would also like the router to have the capability of being plugged into the main bT socket in another part of the house and having a wireless connection to the computers. I would be grateful for any advice as to suitable routers, preferably not too difficult to set up and configure using a screen reader. Suggestions of particular models would be most helpful.
