Windows 98 is my operating system. <Does your computer allow you to actually start up ?(does the error appear and tell you to press any key to continue etc)> Yes. <Did you uninstall anything shortly before the error started ? (its possible the filename is associated with the program removed)> "I was having some problems and did a restore. I know I removed a couple of things after that. One of which was Carbon Copy 32 and maybe Backweb." I have checked the boards on Compaq support and tried 2 solutions posted. One of which was Clear Hx, Temp Files, Then Sys Conf Utility - removed Process Autoexe.bat and config .sys Then Startup and removed duplicates.
