Hi Mike I haven't upgraded anything but this computer gets upgrades by itself all the time I think its the windows XP part that downloads all upgrades microsoft has lol. Since I don't understand what 1/2 of them are when it says do I want to install the upgrades (after they have allready sent them to my PC) I say yes so anyway I have no idea if I am upgraded to IESPI. I have always had to click on the little paper clip to open an attachment. Thank You for the information about the attachments and the web sites for help..........Bette ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike" <mikebike@xxxxxxxxx> To: <24hoursupport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, January 05, 2003 7:38 PM Subject: [24hoursupport] Re: Cloudeight Msgs from Bette > > > Hi Bette, > If you have upgraded your IE to IESP1 it included a patch which makes all > attachments to OE, need to be opened seperatly. > > > OE6 has a new security feature under Tools> Options> Security labeled "Do > not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a > virus. > You can turn this off long enough to save an attachment, but it is recommend > that you then turn it back on for normal use. > From; > http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/faqs/why.htm#oe6attach > > Here is a good trouble shooting site; > http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/ > > I hope this helps. > > Mike ~ It is a good day if I learned something new. > Editor MikesWhatsNews see ~ http://www.mwn.ca > <mikeswhatsnews-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?Subject=subscribe> > See my Anti-Virus pages ~ http://virusinfo.hackfix.org > A Technical Support Alliance Charter Member - Users can unsubscribe from this list by sending email to 24hoursupport-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field OR by logging into the Web interface at http://webpages.charter.net/chizotz/
