I just talked to a friend who was also at the site near Mauston all morning,
and he told me that the warden was summoned after the incident occurred that
Paul described earlier. The warden apparently came out (late morning) and
drove over to the two photographers, and issued them a fine. He then
escorted them away from the site (driving in their respective vehicles).

Unfortunately I don't know any details about what they were charged with,
but hopefully they were told not to return.

I don't want to resume a big debate about sharing owl sightings. However,
maybe it's time we birders stop openly publicizing this bird is still
present and deal with RsFI on this bird from trusted birders through the
backchannels.
