Why not use a Linux Live Boot CD to boot the system with R/W NTFS access, then rename your Documents & Settings folder to OldDocAndSet (or something similar) then install Windows. Hope that helps :) Jon Spriggs -- The presence of a "Fujitsu" address does not imply or assume that Fujitsu Services, Fujitsu or any other company containing the Fujitsu name uses or endorses this product. If I put in the MS W2K CD, it won't repair. So the question is, if I re-install, will it destroy the Documents & Settings directory, or does it just deal with the WINNT folder? -George -------------------------------------------------------------------------- George Yobst, Library Technology Analyst phone: 503.723.4890 Library Information Network of Clackamas County fax: 503.794.8238 16239 SE McLoughlin Blvd, Suite 208 web: http://www.lincc.lib.or.us Oak Grove, OR 97267-4654 email: george.yobst@xxxxxxxxx "...it is impossible for anyone to begin to learn what he thinks he already knows." - Epictetus ******************************************************** This Weeks Sponsor: Straymonkey.com Excellent web templates, fonts, and downloads on this new site brought to you by The Kenzig Group http://www.straymonkey.com ********************************************************** To Unsubscribe, set digest or vacation mode or view archives use the below link. http://thethin.net/win2000list.cfm ******************************************************** This Weeks Sponsor: Straymonkey.com Excellent web templates, fonts, and downloads on this new site brought to you by The Kenzig Group http://www.straymonkey.com ********************************************************** To Unsubscribe, set digest or vacation mode or view archives use the below link. http://thethin.net/win2000list.cfm
