[windows2000] Backup Storage Media

Hi chaps,
Has anyone used an LTO tape drive in placement for DLT/SDLT drives.
Implementing backup strategy and havent used LTO as yet. Are they as
reliable as DLT/SDLT (from my experiences anyway) and easy to implement?
Are there any other media and drive recomendations for this sort of basic
'overnight, offsite' backup implementation
