Ah yes thanks Paul, how stupid of me, of course the touch screen just turns on and off the broadband connection. Now I hope raising these points re Hp laptop is useful as I was unaware of this touch screen area above the keys on my laptop and was distraught when I suddenly lost both my sound and internet connection. It is so easy when visually impaired to accidentally touch this touch screen area above the keys when getting used to a new laptop. Thankfully that is now something of the past.
