For anyone who may have acquired a new computer with windows 7 on it and wants to know how to turn on their broadband connection especially a wireless one, here's how it's done. 1. Open the start menu and in the search edit box which pops up first, type in the following words exactly: Network and sharing Notes: You won't have to type in the entire words which is in windows 7 called, "Network and Sharing" and which replaces the old Network Connections section in Windows XP. 2. From the results list which you can navigate using the arrow keys, choose "Network and sharing" by pressing enter key on it then wait a few moments for the new window to open up. 3. From the resulting screen of settings press the tab key four times till you reach the "Connect or disconnect to a network button" and press the spacebar once. 4. Press the down arrow till you see your network provider such as Eircom or whoever you are with then press enter key on that name and wait for the connection to be established. Notes: Once the connection has been established you will be back within the network and sharing centre screen so just close out of it using keys "Alt + F4" to complete. Also just before you press enter on your network providers name, in order to have the wireless connection connect each time automatically, make sure that you check the "Checkbox" which indicates to connect each time automatically. 5. Once you have been successful connecting, use keys, "Alt + F4" to exit out or with the mouse click on the small X at the top right side of the window till you are back on the desktop. -- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter.
