Greetings,
Why would anyone want to pish shorebirds?? If this is a referral to birds
along the coasts, all those birds look alike except for size anyway. Of
course, I use to say that about sparrows, too... that they all looked the
same. I have frequently been told when I learn all the other birds then I
will finally enjoy shorebirds...but I find there are too many plumages plus
they
all turn and move in the same way at the same time.
I expect too that it may take me several decades to learn all the other
birds.. all the intricacies of their lives. So the shore birds are safe
from my pishing for awhile longer.... a long time longer.

PS Carol Reese, Wally and OL COOT have some informative info about
butterflies and bird droppings. And I now recall the time a California
Condor flew very low directly over us along the Little Sur River near the
coast and the professor yelled, "Keep your mouths closed!" So this is how
butterflies find nutrients they need.. ??!!!
