Nope. That has no bearing on it what so ever. What you will need to
do is get a hold of BROWMON.EXE. This will tell you who is
broadcasting as the Master Browser for your subnet and domain. That
is most likely the cause of your problem.

What you could do as well is stop and disable the COMPUTER BROWSER
service on your workstations, as this service isn't really needed.=20
Leave the service alone on your servers.

One thing I seems to be a trend is that most of these workstation
were created as part of the workgroup initially, then was joined with
the Domain at a later time. Not sure if that tells you anything.

Again, where on your network are these clients? Are they on a different =
subnet than your backup server?

Seems like it does not matter. I made sure I have Netbios enabled but =
still is does not show up. No DNS issue so far. =3D3D3D20

This is really weird because about 2/3 of the computers are showing up, =
while the other third are not there. They do have access to the =
network.

I would check to make sure that they have NetBIOS enabled on the LAN =
=3D3D =3D3D3D3D interface. Also, are these workstations on the same =
subnet, or =3D on =3D3D =3D3D3D3D another subnet from your backupsever? =
Also, are you having =3D any =3D3D DNS =3D3D3D3D issues? Remember that =
if you are going to browse =3D through =3D3D "Network =3D3D3D3D =
Neighborhood" it's all NetBIOS resolution.  I'm hoping =3D =3D3D that =
W2k3 will =3D3D3D =3D3D3D3D get rid of that.  IT should, since W2k3 =3D =
will =3D3D not support any client =3D3D3D3D under Windows 2000.

Just wondering what I am missing here. I have a W2k AD Domain. When I =
=3D3D =3D3D3D3D go to network neighborhood, and browse the domain, I =
don't =3D see =3D3D some of =3D3D3D3D the workstation.  All the =
workstation are part of =3D the =3D3D Domain. =3D3D3D This is =3D3D3D3D =
causing some problem because I can't use =3D =3D3D backupexec to back =
these =3D3D3D =3D3D3D3D workstation.  The workstation in =3D =3D3D =
question are either running Win2K or =3D3D3D =3D3D3D3D XP.=3D3D3D3D3D20

Thanks for any help
