Mike,

Systrack will set you back approx $1,195 per server.

Just curious, ballpark how much does Systrack 3.1 go for per server? I
ask because I am working with some developer types on starting a company
that develops Citrix tools/utilities. I hope our flagship product will
be ready to release in a couple months. I can't believe what some people
charge for some of these tools.

Earlier today Jim Kenzig posted a message about a password changing
utility and said "it only costs $195 per server". I wrote an app that
does the same thing as that one in about 10 minutes and was amazed they
were asking $195/server for that one.

Anyways, just curious, because if Systrack is as expensive as I think it
is it might be something I develop and sell for 1/2 as much.

Thanks,
Mike MacDonald, MCSE, CCA

I agree with Derek. Check out Systrack 3.1. It is awsome. It is
expensive though. Download the eval and install it. Installation is
very easy and very benign on the target servers. The Systrack
Deployment Tool is well built and easy to use and you will have the full
product running in 20 minutes.

Regards,
Rob

Check this website out http://www.lakesidesoftware.com/ . From what I
understand, this company had a product called SysTrack 1.0 which came
bundled with Metaframe XPe (they called it RMS). Now they are on the
market themselves and recently released SysTrack 3.1. It's supposed to
be more robust with a lot of added features... I don't use it but I
would like to hear from anyone who does.

Is it me, or is RMS just about worthless?I've scripted the capture of
process information which I dump into Access and then use Access queries
to generate reports. Its ugly but RMS just wasn't cutting it.- Bob
