[texbirds] Tuesday morning birding, Hagerman NWR

74 species was the count today on a much cooler day than just a week ago. 
Shorebirds species and numbers were down a lot, with just 9 species seen.  It 
was a good day for woodpeckers with 5 Red-headed, 4 Pileated,2 Downy and 1 
Red-bellied.  We saw 16 Eastern Phoebes which is very good and heard an Eastern 
Wood-Pewee. 5 Loggerhead Shrikes was a good count after seeing hardly any all 
summer.  We had our first American Kestrel of the season.  We saw a 
Yellow-crowned Night-Heron at Meadow Pond.  Egrets and herons were plentiful 
with, 25 Great Blue Herons,108 Great Egrets, 85 Snowy Egrets,  194 Cattle 
Egrets, 12 Little Blue Herons and 3 Green Herons. We saw 11 Yellow Warblers.
