[texbirds] Tuesday morning birding, Hagerman NWR

With Lake Texoma still rising the areas accessible to birding are shrinking 
each day.  We started the day by birding the Goode area on the north side of 
the refuge and finished the day via a circuitous route birding at Deaver Pond 
on the south side of the refuge. We tallied 71 species, not seeing any white 
geese.  We did however see 2 Greater White-fronted Geese with a flock of Canada 
Geese. At Dead Woman Pond we saw several Wood Ducks and a Red-headed 
Woodpecker. There we also saw a Neotropic Cormorant, the first of two seen 
today. There was a Franklin's gull north of headquarters. A Hermit Thrush was 
by the creek on Terry Ln. Meadowlarks were very abundant. There were lots of 
ducks but many were too far away to identify.
