Definitely use the P rank transistors.

Verify the duty cycle is 50% +/- 2%.

Check the ceramic caps.

Verify the switching freq of the circuit.  I have had bad transformers cause
the timing to be off and the circuit runs at ~25kHz which is way too low and
the waveform is not clean.  It will blow the transistors under this
condition.
